Audio Ministry - DNA Video Series,
Part 2: Worship
“Come Let Us Sing for Joy”
Psalms 95-100

Psalms 95-100 summon us to consider God and worship Him. J.I. Packer says, "No subject of contemplation will tend more to humble the mind, than thoughts of God..." Packer is absolutely correct, but he is only right if our thoughts of God are thoughts of the God of the Bible. I know many times I think about God, but I am not at all humbled. There is no worship of God elicited from my soul. Why? This happens when I do not understand the awesome power of God-when I don't believe all that God has chosen to reveal to me in Scriptures.

There are many people who talk about God, but their god is not one to be feared. There is no need to stand humbly before their god.

In this series we will be challenged by some pointed questions: What are your thoughts about God? Do they lead to humility? Does your heart rejoice with song when you think of His love? Do you tremble in fear when you think of His wrath? Is your worship one of convenience or necessity? Can we worship God and not be changed by Him?

“There can be no question the Psalms 95-100 have a common theme in that they begin with a summons to sing praises unto the Lord though each has its distinctive note of praise (Leupold).” Join us each Sunday in March as we walk through these stirring Psalms. “Come let us sing for joy.”
